wrong on both counts. dx11 part is by definition a gpgpu capable part. and as mentioned apple loves eye candy, and utilizing the GPU for that is the perfect way to add more of it while making it smother and quicker responding at the same time. also, itunes GPGPU audio encoding could be useful to them, as is the video decoder found in modern GPU's.

Nice to see something that was spoken before in action to make! I think that AMD's APU will be a nice and wise direction to use! Very suitable 1 Chip (GPU+CPU) on 1 crystal - of course Intel come with Sandy B. but GPU part of AMD will balance good performance for an ultra-fin than Intel... will see but again I am very happy to live in a competition like that, to say AMD is working very hard in getting there and it will be unfair not to give them a chance...

sounds like the fusion chips have pretty much secured a place in each of Apples products, all of the other manufacturers should be taking great interest in the APU

I am very happy for AMD/ATI, they have had a very good comeback against the market leaders and without using unfair means. Getting a bite of the apple sounds good for getting the profits up finally. Fingers crossed for Fusion and Bulldozer.

Of course, half the Apple fans, in spite of all metrics, will now assume their products get infinitely worse due to the presence of obviously accursed AMD parts ("Graphics don't count! That's ATI!")... Luckily Apple doesn't really pay much attention to what anyone thinks. :)
