I know. But it is not the power usage than interests me, as it is the amount of heat produced. I will want to cool this passively, so it will be easier with the 65 W models.

$135 thats about £84 for a 4 core apu that will clock to 4800mhz, then a MSI mATX A75MA-G55 at about £72, Thats £156 and i get a 850mhz gpu for free. bye bye Intel you cant touch that, not even in your dreams. That performance is more than good enough for 90% of us. now chuck in a £250 + gpu and i dout 97% of us would need to spend more. fantastic performance per pound that Intel cannot touch, they need to purchases Nvidia but cant as Microsoft will block that move.

Remember, the 100W TDP is for quad core + GPU. That compares pretty well to a 65W CPU + 43W GPU (Radeon 5570). The cheapest low-power (45w) AMD quad core that I can find (Athlon II X4 610e) is $144 on NewEgg.

It's a pretty good deal, from what I can see it's cheaper than Athlon II 635 + HD 5570, or matching at best, but yeah I can't wait to build one, either as an HTPC, or one for my girlfriend since she doesn't play games that much :P.

$135.00 sounds like a very reasonable price for the A8-3850. I may just buy one to play with until Bulldozer is released.
