As Snapdragon 830 is 10nm

We are quite surprised that few people concentrated on one of the major downsides of the Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus – its clunky quad core A10 Chip. Far from being cutting edge, Apple is using 16nm and not the 10nm manufacturing process as many expected. Most of its competitors will soon announce their 10nm SoC.

Notebook GTX 1070 gets an upgrade from 1920 to 2048 cores

On Monday, ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte Sager and other industry players partnered with system integrator Xotic PC to announce a new lineup of 60 gaming notebooks built using Nvidia’s Geforce 10-Series Pascal GPU lineup – more specifically, Geforce GTX 1080, GTX 1070 and GTX 1060 GPUs.

While Vega sticks with 14nm

A little birdie told us that Nvidia is giving its Volta the 16nm FinFET treatment. This product uses stacked DRAM too so it looks like the whole thing will be pretty bleeding edge.

10 partners to launch custom boards

Nvidia got back to us with the official pricing for the Geforce GTX 1060 with  more details than our earlier article we posted last Friday. The card in the US will cost $249 + tax while EU cards with VAT will range from 279 Euro. The UK price is GBP 239 which is at current exchange identical to Euro pricing. They will launch on July 19th.  

Best-selling high card in history sources claim

Many of our colleagues were writing about the shortage of Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 and 1070 cards and they got things mostly right. Our multiple sources close to AIB partners told us that the 1080 is the bestselling high-end card in the history of GPU.
