Microsoft has just unveiled the Surface Laptop 3 series which will be available in 13.5- and 15-inch sizes, but the big news is that it will be available with AMD Ryzen 7 Surface Edition APU, a custom piece of silicon with Radeon RX 11 Graphics.

Rumor has it that Microsoft will show an updated Surface Pro based on the Snapdragon 8CX Compute Platform, steering away from the usual Intel-only update. There will also be a 15 inch AMD version so Microsoft is definitely opening up to diverse manufacturers.
