Next Xbox not till 2013

Rumor seems reliable this time

A number
of rumors and much talk has suggested that Microsoft might introduce the next Xbox in 2012. What we are now learning is that while Microsoft might show or talk about something related to the new console in 2012, the console itself will not arrive for purchase till 2013.

In addition, sources are confirming to us that Don Coyner, who was the brand and design lead for the Xbox, has been replaced by Emma Williams who was most recently involved in the recent development and launch of the latest redesign of the Xbox 360 dashboard.

Of course, Microsoft is confirming none of this, but we have to believe that it is reliable, as the information is coming directly from sources inside the company. It is unclear as to what the change in personnel will have in Microsoft’s console strategy or why the change was made. For the time being that will continue to remain a mystery.

Hooray 1-2 years more with: 20-30 fps, no AA, low res textures and 720p.

And more console ports for the PC. Im glad PC gamers are being hold back because of crappy consoles.

By then the kepler 512 bit version will launch and no games to stress it!

if next xbox has a 6 core cpu does that mean pc ports will have 6 core min requiremnt too?

No, the source is optimized and compiled for the different architectures. This is why we see games today that are released for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and sometimes the Wii, despite all of them having vastly different architectures and number of "cores"
