Indians want multi-national companies

Indian IT professionals are ignoring their country's big outsourcing companies and want to work for multi-nationalis like IBM, Sun and CapGemini.

According to a recent survey 3,000 IT professionals in India were asked to rank their top 20 employers.

Companies with Indian offices made up half of the top 20, while India's third-largest information technology company, software maker Wipro, failed to make it onto the list.

India's biggest software maker, Tata Consultancy, which has 90,000 employees, retained its spot as the best employer to work for, followed by local rival Infosystems.

The survey showed that IT professionals in India were insisting on getting better money and other benefits.
