AMD has dropped its prices to fight Intel's recent price drops. AMD's Athlon 64X2 4200+ Energy efficient at 2.2 GHz costs only €99.90. This is the retail price for the boxed Brisbane processor with 2x512 KB cache and SSE3.

The best part is that you get AMD's stock cooler in the box and that this CPU works under 65W TDP Thermal Design Power range. I guess this is the overclocker's dream part. 

This is a lot of the processor for ridiculously little amount of money as even the 2.2 GHz single core will run everything including every game or Vista. We know as we tried it. Dual Core and 2.2 GHz with K8 marchitecture for €99.90 is like a gift.

We just wonder is this CPU faster than E4300 Core 2 Duo part with FSB 800 but C2D costs some €13 more.
