A reader informed us that QX6850 Quad core at FSB 1333 is available in Germany in at least two places and the cheapest one with shipping will cost €950. We tested one of them here.

It’s good to know that these CPUs are finally available and Germans will have to pay about $1300 for this CPU which is still better than 1350 that Americans have to pay for this one.

The biggest issue is that the quad core actually doesn’t bring anything unless you have special video encoding codec or you render some movies but you don’t gain anything in games and office.
