Suppliers lying about readings
Broadband users in the UK are getting militant about the broadband speeds they are paying for and not getting.
According to the BBC more than 62 per cent of users are routinely getting less than half of the top speed advertised by their provider. Regulator Ofcom has confirmed that it was aware of the issue and was "investigating".
More than half of current broadband users receive ADSL services that should run at speeds between one and four megabits per second The other half were offering eight mbps but the tests few achieve the top speeds.
