Roadmap:
Two percent are 45nm quad cores

Despite the fact that Intel has been happily shipping the highest-end Yorkfield 45nm-based Core 2 Extreme 9650 for some time, you won't see many other 45nm desktop parts in Q1. According to Intel documents seen by Fudzilla, only two percent of total shipments of total consumer CPU shipments will be Intel Core 2 Quad 45nm based.

Another three percent will be the market share of 45nm based Core 2 Duo 45nm processors. Core 2 Duo 65nm based dual cores should take 42 percent of the total market, while quad core 65 nm are five percent of total consumer CPU production.

E2000 series of Dual cores are 29 percent of total shipments in Q1, while Celeron 400 series are 14 percent of total consumer CPU shipments in Q1 2008. Smaller than you expected, isn’t it?
