No sign of TLB bug

One of the world’s biggest torrent file sharing sites is powered by two K10 Barcelonas. We were surprised to learn that AMD gave these brave guys a CPU that can run this massive search engine.

Isohunt is now powered by two Quad-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 2352, which is a K10 at 2.1GHz and the guys from the search engine said that it is very fast and that this machine serves them as a primary database server. If the TLB was such an issue maybe the site would crash a few times, but as far as we know it didn’t. Still, there is a chance that TBL fix was on but if anyone from Isohunt reads this part please come back to us with some comments.

So far, the guys from Isohunt didn’t report any instabilities and they said that the new dual socket server is fastest than their previous one.

Kudos to AMD for supporting these brave guys and maybe AMD has two more CPUs for PirateBay?

You can read more about it at Isohunt, here.
