Intel tells Fudzilla, pay up to cover IDF

No IDF 08 for FUD people

Intel told us from different levels and offices that Fudzilla staff must pay for its own flights and hotel to be a part of the IDF 2008 spring Shanghai edition. As we already paid up for our hotel and a flight to San Francisco in order to cover IDF fall 2007, we refused to do it a second time.

Fudzilla is strapped in between the territory war, as the Germany office is responsible for Fudzilla. As we are an English language publication with writers around the world (U.S., Taiwan, England and Bosnia) and the Editor-in-Chief and two review guys in Vienna, Austria, it was only natural that the German office took over.

The British office washed its hands of us while the American did tend to help, but couldn’t take the responsibility for Fudzilla, as we are in the hands of the Germans. War for territory, we guess.

In order to get a seat in Intel’s plane to IDF 2008 Shanghai, the German office needs to cross off one of the German editors and start a countrywide war with its countrymen, and no one dares to do that and you as Fudzilla readers suffer the most.

A lot of us speak German, but we still write in English, and Fudzilla still gets huge attention from German readers. After all, our German readers are in second place, just behind the Americans, while U.K. falls behind, despite the fact that English is their native language.

The equation is rather simple: no flight, no stories from the event, and we believe that it’s a publicly known fact that Intel has more money than Fudzilla. We just wanted to share this with you, our beloved readers.
