1.6GHz, but not dual

Many manufacturers have got samples of Atom / Diamondvile processors to make their designs ready for the Computex. The sample CPUs are running at 1.6GHz and they are branded as Atom 2x0.

We can confirm that they can be completely passively cooled, but so far there is no word of dual-core Diamondvile samples.

Dual-core is reserved exclusively for desktop systems, but there might be someone who would like to plug this CPU in a notebook design. After 1.6GHz comes 1.87GHz, but so far Intel didn’t send any samples of that part.
