Both Platinum but one with Enhanced Bandwidth

OCZ has released two new high speed, low latency 1600MHz DDR3 kits. We already wrote here that OCZ is getting ready to show low latency 2GB kits, and even some 4GB kits. Both of the new kits are Platinum Edition DDR3 PC3-12800, 2x1024MB kits.

The new PC3-12800 Platinum Edition targets enthusiasts and as announced should take full advantage of the Intel's P35 and X38 chipsets. First one works at 1600MHz with 7-7-7-20 latencies, and comes as a 2x1024MB kit.

Second one is a EB (Enhanced Bandwidth) edition, and comes specially designed and optimized for ASUS motherboards. As stated in press release, the DDR3-1600 Platinum EB increases effective memory bandwidth through the optimization of memory latencies between the system memory, the chipset, and memory controller. At 1600MHz, PC3-12800 EB edition is rated to work at 7-6-6-20 latencies. The PC3-12800 EB will also be available as a 2x1024MB kit.

As the entire Platinum Edition, these two kits are also 100% hand tested and they are cooled by OCZ's platinum-mirrored XTC heatspreaders. Both of the kits are backed up with OCZ's Lifetime Warranty.
