Preview: OCZ PC2 6400 4GB kit

We wanted to give you a glimpse at one of the hottest upgrades this Christmas. If you have a DDR2 motherboard, love and have an Nvidia board you should definitely consider getting 2x2GB kits; and OCZ SLI is one of the best things for 680i and 780i chipset users.

This modules have 5-4-4-15 timings and we can tell you that they work well, are stable, and that you need Vista 64 bit to give this memory a real try.

The easiest thing to indicate that 4GB is actually better than 2GB is that from every new game (and that includes Call of Duty 4 and Crysis) you get out in a second or two, but with 2GB memory it can easily take 10 to 20 seconds, if not even more. The best thing is that it costs below 110€, including tax, and you can buy it here and here.

We just wanted to show you how smooth they look.
