$800 million more than in 06
While everyone else in the memory business complained that 2007 was an incredibly bad year due to slow acceptance of DDR3, it looks like Kingston actually managed to turn it into a record year. In 2007 Kingston’s revenue reached an incredible $4.5 billion, which is $800 more than in 2006. The market increase was largely the result of a good year in the flash memory business, which Kingston entered back in 2003.
In addition to its excellent sales of flash products, the company experienced growth in its ValueRAM and HyperX gamer and enthusiast memory sales.
The company took a long road to success, as back in 1987 they started with a single memory module and now have more than 2,000 memory products that they are shipping in more than 100 countries.
Good job, Kingston girls and boys.
