Available today

Corsair has finally joined the SSD bandwagon and today, we found its 128GB drive listed for a not so attractive €308 plus shipping, and if interested you can get one here.

It's a 2.5-inch format drive and it comes with MLC memory and SATA II interface. Read speeds should be maxed at 90MB/s, while the write speeds should settle at a great 70MB/s.

The big issue is the price of €308, or even €399 in Austria, but the drive is available. 128GB is still a big size for an SSD and some memory company executives have said that they expect that SSD will be used as the primary drive for the OS in the future while the 1TB or bigger drives will be used for storage.

We believe that 60GB makes more sense today simply due its price, but currently Corsair only offers 128GB and no smaller drive.
