The GA-X38-DS4

Gigabyte has launched a cheaper version of its X38 boards, the GA-X38-DS4. It's still part of Gigabyte's Ultra Durable series, as it features all solid capacitors, and it seems like Gigabyte has only cut a few features on this board. It still looks like a decent board if you're set on an X38 based motherboard.

The heatsink is the most obvious change, as this board features a very different design with a single heatpipe running from the X38 chipset to the PWM. As with the DS5 version, the DS4 lacks the second Ethernet interface, but the DS4 also has two SATA ports for a total of six instead of eight.

The board is already on sale in Europe and you should be able to pick one up for around €150.
