We managed
to get a picture of AMD 790FX motherboard that will be launched with SB750 Southbridge.

This new motherboard promises much better overclocking and in its reference design it has four PCIe 2.0 graphic slots, one PCI and one PCIe 4x.  The Northbridge has an active cooler, while Southbridge remains passively cooled.

The new board can take care of six SATA ports including RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10.

It has 4+1 PWM design, which might not be enough for some crazy over 3GHz overclocking of Phenom 9850 Black edition, but the board will support 140W Phenom 9950 X4 quad-core at 2.6GHz.

The board promises extreme overclocking, and let’s hope that this will be the case.

This is a reference design and we are sure that partner boards will look different.
