Gigabyte apparently strongly believes in both USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0Gbps and has now shown an AMD based motherboard with these features, the 790FXTA-UD5.

The new motherboard has all the features that you would expect from an AM3 motherboard based on AMD's 790FX chipset, like support for Ahtlon II and Phenom II processors and dual-channel DDR3 1866MHz memory, 8+2-phase design, support for CrossfireX and Gigabyte's Ultra Durable 3 design.

The rest of the spec includes the aforementioned two USB 3.0 ports and two SATA 6.0Gbps ports, bunch of plain USB 2.0 ports and six SATA 3.0Gbps ports, two eSATA ports, dual Gigabit LAN, Firewire, and integrated audio.

In addition to the 790FX based, 790FXTA-UD5, Gigabyte also plans on integrating USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0Gbps on GA-790XTA-UD4, which is based on AMD's 790X chipset as well as the lower priced GA-770TA-UD3, based on the AMD 770 chipset.

It looks like Gigabyte is quite serious about USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0Gbps support. Considering the fact that a lot of manufacturers will show off USB 3.0 products at CES next year, it sounds like the logical thing to do.
