Some more details, along with a real picture of the Nokia 8600 has turned up online. It looks like the real deal and this handset is mean to replace the Nokia 8800.

The 8600 is a Series 40 device and the specifications so far is hinting at a 16 million colour QVGA resolution display, 2Mega pixel camera and Bluetooth. This is a GSM/GPRS/EDGE handset, so keep on dreaming about a 3G luxury handset from Nokia.

The 8600 has aparently also passed FCC approval, so we might see this new Nokia sooner rather than later.

And this is what is looks like in all its shiny black glory.
