BlackBerry Storm to get 4.7.0.75 OS update

Written by David Stellmack

Verizon expected to release it later today

It seems that the Verizon version of the BlackBerry Storm 9530 will be getting a quick OS update to 4.7.0.75 that is expected, according to several sources, to appear later today.

The 4.7.0.75 OS update for the Storm addresses one of the most common complaints of the Storm, which is lag. Those who have purchased or even tested the Storm have complained of the lag issue and this is especially prevalent when changing the display orientation which uses the device’s built-in accelerometer.

While none of our sources are making any promises, it is a high priority for Verizon to get this update out; so if it does not release later today, we are predicting that we will see it before the end of the week, for sure.
