Wii shortages to continue

The shortage
of the Wii games console will continue for some months. Speaking to Game Theory Podcast, Perrin Kaplan, Nintendo’s VP of marketing and corporate affairs said that there was a lot going on behind the scenes in terms of working on what we are producing.

However the Wii is proving so popular and the numbers continue to rise and a "supply / demand situation" might last for some time.

Wii production was flat out and has far exceeded Nintendo's normal hardware output. Kaplan said that it would take a few more months to get enough Wiis into the shops and she asked buyers to be patient.
