Storyline and new screenshots

Not so long ago we wrote about an announcement and a trailer of the Activision's new sequel in the Call of Duty series, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare. As we said before Call of Duty moved away from its well known World War II scenarios to modern weaponry and modern age.

Back when we wrote the announcement, information about the game consisted on rumors that were floating around on the net. Hardspell managed to get some information on the story line and some new screenshots. Hardspell announced a release time to autumn, and apparently they managed to confirm that this time Activision and Infinity Ward didn't forget PC, as the new sequel will come for PC, Xbox360 and PS3.

As for the storyline in the new Call of Duty 4, according to Hardspell developer gave up on the old campaign system that we saw in previous COD games and will do a dual storyline this time. The first one will be from the eyes of an SAS trooper and the second storyline character will be US Force Recon soldier. The story will take place in Russia, where you will be fighting against Zakhaev, "a Russian ultra-nationalist with aims to bring the Soviet Union back into existence and in the style of his idol, Stalin."

Here are some screenshots from Hardspell. More screenshots and detailed storyline can be found on Hardspell.
