Eidos revealed some additional info related to Lara Croft's adventures. For instance, the rain in the game won't be just eye-candy, it will actually make climbing and moving on steep ground difficult; so chances of  slipping and falling will significantly increase in the rain.

They also say that you’ll be able to use most of the objects that you can find on the ground. So, you can use a wooden stick or staff as a weapon or you can use it to make your climb easier. You’ll be able to shoot practically from anywhere, and Lock-On function is also improved.

The setting of the game is still shrouded in mystery, but it’s likely that it’s somewhere where no one has set foot in ages.
