That funky sheep character

Nintendo recently sent out copies of DS Animal Crossing: Wild World to the media, which came with almost all the secrets unlocked. However, an issue arose when a player stumbles upon Baarbara, a sheep character that greets the player with the N-word.

Nintendo reacted, issuing an official statement that says how 14 previously played copies of the 2005 DS game Animal Crossing: Wild World were sent out to journalists in order to demonstrate the ability to transfer items into the new Wii game Animal Crossing: City Folk. They added how they regret the addition of this offensive phrase that was introduced via a wireless function, which allows user-generated catchphrases to spread from one game to the next.

The company says that these are not in retail and are just copies sent out to journalists, and that they will take all the necessary steps to get them back. Well, we know that all sheep are created equal, but it appears that some sheep are funkier than others.

You can read more here where you’ll also find Nintendo’s full statement.
