Wii might cost you a pint of blood

A non-profit blood center, Blood Assurance, is offering what would probably qualify as the most humane of deals – give blood and qualify for a draw in which you just might win one of twelve Nintendo Wii consoles bundled with the Wii Fit game.

However, we find it quite interesting that Wii is slowly entrenching in medicine, as we’re not aware of any console managed to pull of such a feat. Quite the contrary, the only health-related console reports we’ve heard so far are occasional carpal tunnels and/or severe lack of activity, which doesn’t quite constitute a medical aid.

On the other hand, Nintendo Wii was even described by some health workers as a gift after helping the disabled in finding balance and walking again. So, after Nintendo humiliated its technically superior competition in sales, it also beat them in the field of medicine.
