Daytime version of MP Makin map for free

While we have been hearing whispers about it for the past couple of weeks, Activision and Treyarch made it official today with the release of a new patch for Call of Duty World at War that addresses a bunch of bugs and also offers some improvements for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.

The surprise that none of us really expected is that as part of this patch, Activision and Treyarch have added a downloadable version of the “MP Makin” map called “Makin Day” as an addition. Perhaps the best news about this new map being added is that it will be free for download for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners.

PlayStation 3 owners will get the map automatically as part of the patch download, while Xbox 360 owners will have to download it separately from the Xbox Live market place.

A variety of improvements have been included in the patch, but the ability to have the Nazi Zombies unlocked for solo and co-op games for all games, both public and private, are likely to be one of the things that is a hit with those playing the game. In addition, a number of the Zombie exploits have been patched; so it should be a lot more fun than it used to be.
