PGR4 Challenge Pack deal for the week, as well

This Wednesday on Xbox Live Arcade, gamers will get their hands on two new titles this time around when Peggle from PopCap Games and Crystal Defenders from Square Enix are available for download.

Peggle is a strategy game that combines the elements of several different types of games including pachinko, pinball, and even pool to create a title that is a unique challenge to players. The Xbox Live Arcade version of Peggle will feature an online multi-player mode that supports up to four players, which is certainly unique. Peggle will go for 800 Microsoft Points when it is available for download starting Wednesday.

From the world of Final Fantasy Tactics A2 the popular jobs have been made into a new title for Xbox Live Arcade by Square Enix called Crystal Defender. With over 120 levels of action, players will take charge of soldiers whose sole mission is to fend off enemies that are trying to take their crystals. The game is certain to be popular with those who played Tactics, as it is very addictive and it will only cost 800 Microsoft points when it makes its appearance on Wednesday.

Microsoft will continue its tradition of giving Xbox Live Gold subscribers a little economic relief with another temporary price reduction this week in what has become a regular Microsoft Deal of the Week thing. This week Xbox Live Gold Level Subscribers can download the Project Gotham 4 Challenge Pack for a mere 240 Microsoft points, rather than the 400 Microsoft points that it normally goes for. The Challenge Pack is a pretty good assortment of additional content to breathe some new life back into PGR4.

Burnout Paradise will also get two special boost packs that are in the pipeline for release on March 12th, 2009. From what we hear, each pack will give you a new car to tool around with in Paradise City. Our sources tell us that we should expect each car to go for 400 Microsoft points, or you can buy both of them for 600 Microsoft points.
