PlayStation3 claims

A survey conducted by a PlayStation3 magazine claims that one in three PS3 players would rather play a game than have sex with their partner.

More than 72 per cent claiming they'd shun a night of release with their missus if a new game's release was hitting the shops. Comments included the fact that their girlfriends were too hard to please and sex was not as much fun as gaming. While many people would be surprised that gamers have girlfriends, PlayStation3 magazine found 1130 of them and we don't know what state their girlfriends were in.

More than 41 per cent said that if they were given £50, they'd spend it on a video game. The research was carried out by PlayStation3 site, www.PS3pricecompare.co.uk, a specialist independent price comparison website that claims it can help find the cheapest new consoles and games.

It is probably not the most reliable of surveys. The sorts of people who reply to such polls are the type who buy hard copy magazines on the PS3 so we suspect they are hard core gamers. We are not sure about what “too hard to please” means. Possibly that the girlfriends demand that they wash before hoping into bed.
