And holds a "fashion" show at the launch event

During the event yesterday, MSI also introduced the C-series, or Classic series of notebooks, although we're not sure how classic it really is and we're not overly impressed by the specs on the larger models, but let's start with the more basic ones.

First up is the CR400 which has a 14-inch display with 1,366x768 resolution, a Core 2 Duo processor, an unspecified chipset, Geforce 8200M G graphics, up to 4GB of memory and 500GB of hard drive space, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and a 6-cell battery. The CR400 tips the scale at 2kg.

Next up is the CR600 which offers exactly the same specs with the exception of having a larger 16-inch display and as such it weighs in at 2.48kg. Then there's the CX600 which swaps the Nvidia graphics in favour for an ATI Radeon HD 4330 with 512MB of DDR2 memory, but otherwise seems to be identical in terms of specs. The chassis design is also somewhat different between the two models.

Finally we have the CR700 which again has the same spec as the CR400, but it has a massive 17.3-inch display, yet with the same paltry 1,366x768 resolution at this size. It weighs in at a luggable 3kg's with a 6-cell battery.

Finally we have some pictures from MSI's notebook "fashion" show which was part of the X-series launch in Taiwan. There were flashy laser and loads of girls on stage with notebooks, but we're not quite sure what the relevance to the products was. You can also check out a video of the show over at TweakTown.
