With dedicated multimedia coprocessor

Acer is working on a new Aspire One netbook that will be able to cope up with 1080p content thanks to the Quartics' QV1721 multimedia coprocessor. The new Aspire One 571 will have a 10.1-inch screen with a maximum resolution of 1280x720 and has a Vmedia disc drive.

The new Aspire One 571 looks a lot like the D150 and features Intel's Atom N280 1.66GHz CPU. The Vmedia disc drive, neatly placed left of the touchpad is a nice add-on as this 32mm diameter media can hold up to 1GB of data while 2GB versions are coming soon. The new Aspire One is capable of coping with any HD content thanks to the Quartics QV1721 multimedia coprocessor which has full 1080p encoding and decoding capabilities.

The new Aspire One will probably be the crown jewel of Acer's Computex lineup. You can find more pictures over at Macles.
