High res screen, SSDs up to 128GB
Hewlett Packard has launched a new netbook aimed at somewhat more
serious consumers, and it's a pretty good looking piece of hardware.
Unlike most netbooks, which are crafted from cheap plastic, the Mini
5101 boasts a sturdy aluminium and magnesium chassis, and it's got a
stylish keyboard as well. This time around HP moved the trackpad keys
below the trackpad, and that's good news too.
In the hardware department, you can look forward to 7200RPM drives,
Bluetooth 2.0, a 2 megapixel webcam, and an HD screen option (1366 x
768). In case you're willing to spend a bit more cash, you can go for
an SSD in 80GB or 128GB capacities.
The Mini 5101 is expected to go on sale sometime in July, with prices starting at $449.
