MSI's Wind U210 hits the USA

If you are tired of those Intel Atom based netbooks, MSI's Wind U210 might be the one that will bring a smile on your face as the Wind U210, a 12.1 incher, is based on AMD's Athlon Neo MV-40 CPU and has finally started selling at Amazon.com and Newegg.com with a price tag of US $429.99.

The AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 works at 1.6GHz and it is paired up with AMD's RS690+SB600 chipset which means that it also includes ATI Radeon X1250 integrated graphics. The 12.1-inch screen has a maximum resolution of 1366x768.

The rest of the features for these two SKUs, include a 2GB of DDR2 memory, 250GB 2.5-inch SATA hard drive and a 6-cell battery. The only difference between the 006US and 008US SKUs is the color, as the first one is white, while the second one comes dressed in black.

The rest of the features include an HDMI and VGA outputs, three USB ports, 802.11bgn WiFi, 1.3M web cam and fresh copy of Windows Vista Home Premium.
