Asus has officially announced its ION 2 equipped Eee PC 1201PN. This 12.1-incher has been pretty mush showed and detailed, but since Asus has now officially announced we guess it should finally be available in retail/e-tail.

The new Eee PC 1201PN features Intel's Atom N450 paired up with Nvidia's next-gen ION graphics, 2GB of DDR2 memory and a 250GB HDD. The 12.1-inch LED glare display has a native resolution of 1366x768 pixels.

The rest of the features include a Gigabit LAN, 801.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, 500GB of WebStorage (free for one year), three USB 2.0 ports, and HDMI and D-Sub outputs. It comes with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium OS and features a 6-cell 5600mAh battery.
