iPhone 4 catches fire

Written by Nick Farell

Is there anything it can do right?
Apple's latest toy, the iPhone 4, which only works when you use it in your right hand, now apparently now catches fire. The broken phone, which has sold in millions despite warnings, has had a list of things go wrong with it. It also switches off when you stick it close to your ear.

However now it seems that if you hook an iPhone 4 to your computer with the Steve Jobs' blessed USB cord the phone can fry and your paws can get burnt.

According to a source inside AT&T, the charring resulted from a faulty USB port and not human error: Apple confirm to AT&T that there appeared to be a defective USB port and not some sort of user error. It has not made any official comment  despite the story being covered by Boy Genus
complete with snaps.

The phone bezel was extremely hot and it slightly burned the customers hand. The USB port in the phone was slightly melted and the cord was badly melted.

Apple has a bit of history when it comes to products catching fire. Last year the iPhone 3G and iPod Touch were officially pronounced smoking.

The fanboy argument is that if you make enough electronic devices sooner or later one is going to catch fire. Of course if you make a $180 gadget and charge three times that much it is more likely to catch fire than a gadget made from products which were actually worth it.

yes, continue buying the $180 dollars to make iPhone that sells for 3x as much and has no quality or features.
How crazier can people get, no insult intended.

Well guys, i thought you're not the type of site who favors a brand or disslikes a brand with some stupid sentences...

"Is there anything it can do right?" - fail.

Hahahaha :D

Jokes on them, people need to get smart when it comes to Apple. It may have a fruit logo doesn't mean that it is quality.

Current fans and fanboys of Apple better see their faults finally, and buy other companies products which are always better in either quality or features and cheaper in contrast to those features.

People who are buying this junk product are people looking for trouble. I am not saying they are stupid maybe they are just unaware, thus, they can return the product before it burns them or their properties at worst.

Cmon guys, every time you try to attack apple's products.. Apple sold 2+ millions
iPhone 4 one of them catches fire,, something like that can happen for many reasons.. it's only 1 in 2 million !! Is iphone 4 Junk ? Are you kidding me ? It's the best smartphone ever.. is iphone 4 'toy' ? WTF?! , how did you figure that out ? it has crazy possibilities for a smartphone.. no smartphone even comes close.. but no matter what apple made you can still say things such as '' apple users dont know what flash is'' .. yeah we dont and we dont want to know.. flash is extremely heavy even in my powerful pc i have problems with pages full of flash content i dont want to see that in my iPhone. Apple will give flash when they will know that they found a solution that works flawless

I've heard of the saying "ears are burning", but this...

so how much are Apple going to charge customers to fix this problem?
