Shipping in US and EU
Just as it was rumoured, Intel's Gulftown Core i7-970 has started shipping both around the US as well as the Europe with a price hovering somewhere around €820 to €880 in Europe, depending on the e-tailer/retailer while in the US of A it has a fixed $899.99 pricetag.
This "non-extreme" 32nm six-core Gulftown works at 3.2GHz, has 12MB of L3 cache and, of course, six cores and twelve threads. The new Intel Core i7-970 should be compatible with all LGA 1366 motherboards although you might need a BIOS update.
