Bizarre developing Blood Stone

by on19 July 2010

Third-person 007 action adventure title
While the new 007 Golden Eye title is in development for the Wii, Activision also has another James Bond 007 title in development called Blood Stone. Blood Stone is being developed by Bizarre Creations, which is a studio better known for its driving and racing titles, including the recent release Blur and Project Gotham Racing; but the company has development titles outside of racing titles such as the highly successful Geometry Wars, Boom Boom Rocket and The Club.

While it will be a third-person action adventure title we are told that Blood Stone will have a significant amount of driving involved in the game on both land and sea. The title itself is based on an original story written by Bruce Feirstein and will feature new original music by Joss Stone and Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame. The game will offer robust multiplayer options with a number of different game play modes.

The game has been in development at the Liverpool-based studio for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions, while developer n-Space is apparently working closely with Bizarre on a Nintendo DS version, as well. The game is slated to arrive this holiday season, with a rumored release date of November 2nd being tossed around.
