Globalfoundries has appointed Robert Krakauer as its new chief financial officer.

Krakauer served as CFO at Lifelock Inc and he held the same posts in MagnaChip Semiconductor and ChipPac Inc. He will be responsible for Globalfoundries’ financial strategy, management and reporting. Krakauer will report directly to Globalfoundries CEO Doug Grose.

Grose praised Krakauer’s 20-year experience in the industry and noted that he would strengthen Globalfoundries’ financial performance.

Krakauer’s predecessor Bruce McDougall has taken up a similar position at ATIC, the majority shareholder of GloFo.
