First and foremost, update 1.9.6 fixes a COM security initialization issue causing the disk scheduler helper library to fail with error code "-2" under certain conditions. The update also no longer sets the "Start the task only when computer is running on AC power" option in the Startup task settings. In other words, this prevents EVGA Precision from automatically starting itself via the Windows Task Scheduler on some laptops or UPS battery backup systems connected to desktop systems.
The update also adds an On-Screen Display profile on Logitech G-series Keyboard LCDs for Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty.
EVGA Precision 1.9.6 is available to EVGA registered members and can be downloaded here.
