You probably already know that the Lost Planet 2 demo benchmark is available and being promoted by Nvidia. Naturally, the demo is pretty demanding when it comes to DX 11 performance, and AMD graphics results are definitely not up to the mark. Of course, we can't rule out the fact that Radeon performance might improve by the time the game hits the shelves, and since we didn't want this test to resemble guillotining AMD, we decided not to focus on comparisons much. We wanted to know whether Lost Planet 2 puts an emphasis on graphics cards' memory, but the results indicate that this is not the case.

Only at the highest resolution with CSAA32X the card with more memory can score higher. GTX 460 2GB card is some 12 percent faster than the GTX 460 card with 1GB of memory while the 768MB cards could not finish the test as it simply needs more memory than the card can offer. Only at this resolution the more memory really pays off.
