30 percent faster than GTX 480 in Vantage

The company behind the YoyoTech brand has revealed the full spec and the UK price of Nvidia's upcoming Geforce GTX 580. The card is listed at £399 including UK VAT tax and the company claims that the card runs 30 percent faster in 3Dmark Vantage than the GTX 480.

Some of the specs included in the listing state that the card has 512 Cuda cores, 1.5GB of 384-bit GDDR5 memory, 4Bbps Data Transfer and Dual DVI and mini HDMI support.

Consumers in the continental EU should expect a price of between €399 and €429 depending on the Euro zone country.

The link is here at least until Nvidia doesn’t force it down, but here is the picture just in case.

If £399 inc VAT is true then that really isn't too bad at all.

Maybe with some nice completion from 6970 we could see the best 'value' high-end range for many years.

Meh...
We would need to see more benchmarks than just one. Plus these are just claims :-*
And when the reviews come, then that's when we can be so sure of the actual performance

oh boy i was hoping it at good price as GTX 470 will beat it in SLI in less budget.... again Nvidia is going to fail becoz they shud understand if they made it little less the GTX 570 customers can think to go for 580..
but forget it until some compitition comes!

That's a pretty decent price...

But why do they have a picture of 480?
I thought 580 is supposed to have a different cooler, but on pic it looks like the old one.

YoyoTech is rip off company. If the price is what they are saying then you will get it cheaper from another retailer (overclockers for example).

@LASER

I agree with you but you will never get a high end card with better performance/price than 2x mid-range. It never has been the case since SLi and crossfire and i am sure we will never see it in the future either. Its just not the way the industry works.

The high-end is an example of what the company can make but entry and mid-range is were the battle takes place and so where the value is.

Well if marketing is saying 30 percent, then it's 20 percent at best. ;-)

The price seems ok though, I was expecting a bit more...

They could be right about 30 percent, but we do not game in 3dmark Vantage but in games where increase in performance will not be so high.

I think it will be hard for AmD 6970 to beat this monster from nVidia
GTX580 60%faster then a 5870
thats to much for the 6970 to eat :-)
