Free for VIP players
News from the DICE camp confirms Map Pack 7 for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Map Pack 7 will be free for VIP gamers of both the PC and console versions of the game. Map Pack 7 will add four new maps, which are called Oasis and Harvest Day from Battlefield: Bad Company and two all new maps which are called Cold War and Heavy Metal.

Oasis and Harvest Day from the first Bad Company title have been updated with better and destructible graphics and new re-mastered audio. Both Oasis and Harvest Day were fan favorites from the original Bad Company and made a good choice to bring over to Bad Company 2.

Oasis, Harvest Day, Cold War, and Heavy Metal will be available for multiplayer modes of Bad Company 2, as expected. While no release date has been finalized, it is expected to arrive soon. It is unknown if Map Pack 7 will arrive ahead of the upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion pack which still is expected to arrive yet this year, although some whispers that we have heard suggest that it could be pushed back, depending on a number of factors.
