New version will offer more features
A number of sources are confirming to us the DigiTimes news that the next version of the iPad, or iPad 2nd generation if you will, is likely to arrive in February. Apple is said to have told iPad builder Foxconn to be ready to deliver initial numbers of between 400,000 to 600,000 units to start with.

While the initial production run may only number between 400,000 to 600,000 units, it isn’t hard to believe that this will just be for openers as Foxconn gets production levels where Apple needs them to be to hit their sales targets.

The 2nd generation iPad is said to offer much more than the initial first generation model with reports of FaceTime camera support, a much thinner form factor, an improved Retina Display, gyroscopic support, as well as many other rumored improvements over the pervious version.

The timeline of a February release does seem to fit with the typical pattern of what Apple has done in the past. We believe that it is happening; it is just a question of timing and as we all know by now, Apple does things on their schedule.
