Nvidia attacks AMD great drivers claim

Written by Fuad Abazovic

Fist fight

AMD's Catalyst team recently wrote about how great their drivers are. We won’t get into details right now, as Bobo is doing that on a separate article, but it was interesting to see what Nvidia has to say about it.

Igor Stanek, Senior Product PR Manager EMEA, a well known Nvidia representative went on the record with the following:

"This shows how desperate AMD is these days.  These claims are just nonsense and are from a study funded by AMD. AMD should focus their resources on fixing the Image Quality problems found by legitimate investigators which prove their Radeon products are no match for our superior GeForce products."

It appears that Nvidia wants to slap AMD around, so it will be quite interesting to see how the red team responds.

On a separate note AMD just launched Catalyst 10.12, the last one for this year and this one will even get DivX support for 6800 series and most likely even 6900 series after it launches. It will be available as of December 15th.

We are expecting AMD to get back to us with its own comment about Stanek’s claim. We hope to hear from AMD's Terry Makedon, the Catalyst team leader himself and he knows how to find us.

"AMD should focus their resources on fixing the Image Quality problems found by legitimate investigators which prove their Radeon products are no match for our superior GeForce products."

AMD should focus on fixing the bugs that TWIMTBP deliberately puts into games like Hawx to make them run at high AA levels unless it finds a little code like they have put in their NV drivers to make themselves perform better.

I am so excited about the release of 6970 and its comparison with GTX 580. May the best card win.

It is a joke allright... But read it carefully and you will understand what is the secret meaning.

-edit : It means decent performance boost with the proper drivers.

I like when people throw stones at theyr own roof....
Maybe Amd hasn't got the crown at performance, but image quality?

Before someone says something like that, they should post proof, if not maybe it will byte its own ass.
And as you can see, the 5800 line has perfect image quality, the 6800 and 6900 should be equal.

Also Nvidia is desparate not amd. They are the ones that started the useless "fight".

This sounds too stupid to come from a serious company...But hey it's a PR manager...can't say I expected any better.
