Modern Warfare 3 announcement coming?

Written by David Stellmack

Sources say it will be unveiled in mid-April
While we know that Activision is planning for a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 release this year, officially Activision has had nothing yet to say about it beyond some vague references to a COD release this year and to investors.

Now we have learned from our sources that Activision is said to be announcing the next chapter in the COD franchise, which is believed to be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in the middle of April. It is believed according to our sources that Infinity Ward is still the lead developer for the project, but they are getting assistance from Sledgehammer and Raven with the development.

As for what might be in Modern Warfare 3, most people suspect that it will be a continuation of the story line from Modern Warfare 2, with Soap and Price on the run after being set up. It is unclear really at this point what might be in store for the latest version, but with DICE turning up their game with Battlefield 3, it goes without saying that Modern Warfare 3 needs to be good.

An announcement in April does seem to fit what we have seen from Activision in the past as far as announcements for the next Call of Duty title, as Black Ops was announced at the end of April. It is suspected that Activision is planning for a November release for Modern Warfare 3; and with Battlefield 3 dominating the headlines as of late, it is not surprising that Activision might want to start the media blitz for Modern Warfare 3 by building some momentum prior to a peek at E3 in June.

No no no and no. This year it will all be about Battlefield 3, Call of Duty got milked dry. I'd rather play Counter-Strike Source than CoD nowadays. Oh how time has passed, i still remember the epic CoD 2, now it's all hollywood clichees, console ports and lots of kiddies talking trash online. Where are the dedicated servers with admins catering for the well being and satisfaction of the players? Where are the modding tools and comunities creating content? Where are the hard earned kills? All you got to do now is use perks to cheat your way to the top.

CoD 4 is fun too >.>, hate this WW2 weps xd

OT: Oh well, as long console kids are happy to pay, its stupid not to milk them. Actually I even think this CoD will be the first good one after MW because its from Raven.

I think they need to hurry up and release details on Modern Warfare 3. Hopefully we get a trailer and this game is TONS better than the crap they put out called Black Ops. I read this interesting article on a Modern Warfare 3 fan site http://mwarfare3.com/ and they were talking about if MW3 can remain the top FPS. I think it’s possible, I always enjoyed the Modern Warfare 3 titles as they seem to have better gameplay as compared to the “Call of Duty” titles. The franchise has taken a huge step back with the previous two games released, and I think with the competition stepping up that Activision will make sure this is a great game. They also said the game will be out on November 11, which is interesting.

CoD or MW is the same shit with same engine, same scripts, same AI and even same retarded "Hail USA"- story.

Hail USA? Aren't the main protagonists British? Yeah, that's American.

But its USA who got attacked or not...by bad russian/arabs...Soap fights mostly for us interest too.

and MW is even not that bad...you saw the BO ending ? xd

Soap and Price are British SAS who originally worked on a joint op with the US, but obviously things turned to the worst. That doesn't change the fact that the protagonists are non-american and the onset of MW3 will be more or less the same due to that cliffhanger of an ending. ...and I would think thats what the rest of the world wants to see (USA invaded). That's the impression I get anyway..

and no, I never played BO...I no longer play garbage.

oh, the argument is kind of on the edge of null and void....I never seen any arabs in MW2 other than the footage of Al Asad from COD4...that's it.

Yea, I never said they arent just the whole feel and motivations from the game are pretty much hail usa IMO.

MW > bad arabs/russians wanna attack usa and killed a lot with a nuke. So you have to invade them and protect america.

MW2 > more bad russians wanna attack usa and make a deal with a bad us general. They invade the good usa and you have to protect if from bad russians.

Seems pretty biased for me and kind of subtile propaganda. Same with Homefront where good usa gets attacked by baby eating koreans xd
