Former DICE and Visceral Games producer Gordon Van Dyke is leaving the Electronic Arts family to return to Sweden and take a position as a Senior Producer at Paradox Interactive.

The move has more to do with personal matters than anything else. While Van Dyke enjoyed his time in California, he married his long-time girlfriend from Sweden and recently welcomed a new baby. Van Dyke and his wife decided that they wanted to return to Sweden to raise their child.

While in the process of moving, Paradox CEO Fred Wester reached out to Van Dyke on the advice of a friend who put the two in contact. Van Dyke is excited about joining the Paradox team and has indicated he looks forward to the ability to work on new IP.

Despite a number of rumors that had been circling that Van Dyke would be rejoining DICE, this apparently was not meant to be.
