Battlefield 3 to arrive October 25th

Beta to start at some point in September
DICE and Electronic Arts confirmed the release date for Battlefield 3 today during their E3 press conference. Battlefield 3 will arrive on October 25th, which is several weeks ahead of competitor, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The new confirmed release date is about a week earlier than was originally thought, which will give Battlefield 3 the jump on Modern Warfare 3.

In addition to the release date being announced, DICE and EA also confirmed that a beta will start at some point in September with additional details to be announced. There was talk of an open beta, but we suspect that will be in addition to the VIP beta pass that purchasers of last year’s Medal of Honor release received.

If there is an open beta we expect that will come after the beta is first released to VIP beta pass holders.

Interesting move, releasing two weeks before MW3. Well, I'm happy: the earlier the better.

BF3 will rape mw3,only n00bs can play mw3,its all same, even gun sounds,no creativity at all.BF3 all the way
Edit:
another perfectionism of BF3:

Was on collage with tons of other students watching the announcements and if only you where all there. As soon as Halo and Battlefield 3 were shown every single person started yelling and clapping as hard as they could out of pure awesomeness. But when MW3 was showcased, there were about 2 or 3 people clapping.... Never heard the place so quiet.

Hehe, just shows how poor CoD become,no progress at all, stupid gameplay,Mp even more stupid with all those perks, helis, con trollable rockets etc.etc.
There no comparison with BF3 atm,and i guess this time BF3 will outsell that poor mw3.
If only other game devs have such attitude like DICE...

Well it looks like the COD4 MW3 mod just got its ass kicked. I wonder if those Activision idiots even have a new engine in development?

Damn, won't face MW3 head-to-head? Well at least it'll give them a chance to work out all of the bugs that'll run rampant in the game.
