Blizzard HQ to hold Diablo III event

Written by David Stellmack

Press event said to be on tap for July
Sources confirm to us that Blizzard will be holding a press event to announce the Diablo III beta. According to MTV, the event is slated to take place in July; but our source claims that the exact date in July has not been determined yet, but believes it will be during the third or fourth week in July.

With the event focused on Diablo III we are starting to think that the possibility of a third quarter beta for Diablo III is becoming much more likely. Supposedly, the news from the event will be under embargo until August 1st, so don’t expect to hear or see the specifics beforehand.

We will be shaking the bushes over the next couple of days to see what else shakes out on the specifics of this event.
