R2D2 themed Limited Edition coming
Microsoft has now confirmed that the rumors of a Star Wars R2D2-themed Xbox are true. The Limited Edition Star Wars R2D2-themed Xbox console with Kinect will arrive this fall and include Star Wars Kinect.

The Limited Edition Xbox 360 console is painted to resemble R2D2 and will include a 320GB hard drive, two C3PO gold controllers, a white Kinect to match the console, and a copy of Star Wars Kinect. The cost for the bundle will be $449 and we are told that many retailers are already accepting pre-orders for delivery this fall. No release date is confirmed, but we expect a release date to be announced when it gets closer to release.

With the announcement of the Limited Edition Star Wars Xbox 360, this is the second Limited Edition console that has been announced for this fall. The first Limited Edition Xbox that was announced for this fall was the Limited Edition Gears of War 3 console that will arrive in September.

Unlike some of the past Limited Edition consoles that Microsoft has done the company has gone all out on these two, with both of them being two of the best ever Limited Edition consoles that the company has put together. There is no word yet on how truly Limited these consoles will be; but word has it that both of them will be more limited than what we have seen from past Limited Edition console releases from Microsoft.
